Pam is an experienced singer and guitarist with backing tracks, whose extensive repertoire spans more than 7 decades - everything from relaxed or romantic background music, through R&B, party dance classics, Motown, classic pop of the 60s,70s and 80s to more recent hits, power ballads and music of the musicals. Pam can work with you to put together the perfect package for your wedding, birthday, anniversary, or corporate event.
Whether you want standards and ballads such as Summertime, Autumn Leaves, Wind Beneath my Wings ; acoustic sets from the music of singers like Jim Croce, Judy Collins, Joni Mitchell etc; country hits from such as Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, Anne Murray; music of 60s stars such as Dusty Springfield, Aretha Franklin, Cilla Black, and Motown Legends; music of the 70s - from The Carpenters, Barbara Streisand, Lionel Richie and Tina Turner etc, or more recent music from Gabrielle, M People and so many more, Pam will put together a package to suit.
Residential/Care Sector
For the last 3 years Pam has entertained extensively throughout Kent, Sussex and Surrey in residential, nursing and care homes, day centres, Dementia Cafes and retirement complexes – performing mixture of standards, popular hits of the 50s and 60s and songs of the musicals. Pam’s "Dusty and friends" tribute to the girl singers of the 60s, in costume and wig of the era, as well as “Songs from the Musicals” or “Country and Western” sets have also proved very popular. The aim is to encourage audience participation and provide music and anecdotes to which the audience can relate.
Musical Background:
Pam’s first experience of singing on stage was the North Pier Blackpool – age 3!! In her teens, Pam appeared on Canadian TV and radio, then returned to England, singing in folk clubs, pubs and restaurants. When living in Kent she was a founder member of the cabaret group Carlton Hotel, was in the duo Urban Foxes and then went solo with her guitar and backing, entertaining at an increasing range of events including weddings, fundraisers, parties and corporate functions.
Pam is now well known around Sussex for her performances in concerts and musical theatre.
